CANCELLATION POLICY

We pride ourselves on respecting our clients’ time here at Pelo. We ask that clients do the same for us.

Cancellations & amendments within 24–48 hrs of your appointment will incur a 50% charge. Less that 24 hrs notice and no‑shows will incur a 100% charge.

Booking deposits are non‑refundable if the cancellation policy is not adhered to.

Cancellations, amendments and no‑shows cause a loss of earnings to our staff as well as missed appointments for other clients.

HAIR SKIN TEST POLICY

At Pelo, the health and safety of our clients are of utmost importance. To ensure the safe application of hair colour and other chemical treatments, we require a skin allergy test (patch test) prior to all colour services. This policy ensures that no allergic reactions occur during your treatment.

Who Needs a Skin Test?

All new clients receiving hair colour services at Pelo.

Existing clients who have not had a colour service in the last 6 months.

Clients who are switching to a new colour formula or product.

Clients who have experienced any changes in health or medication, as this may affect sensitivity.

How Does the Test Work?

A small amount of colour product will be applied behind the ear or on the inner elbow.

The patch must remain in place for45 minutes, and you must not wash the area during this time.

If any irritation, swelling, redness, or itching occurs, please contact the salon immediately and do not proceed with the treatment.

When to Have a Skin Test:

At least 48 hours prior to your scheduled colour appointment.

Clients must visit the salon in advance or arrange for a convenient time to perform the patch test.

Failure to Comply:

If a skin test is not completed at least 48 hours prior to your appointment, we will be unable to carry out any colour services.

This policy is non-negotiable for your safety and in line with industry best practices.

Validating the Test:

Once a skin test has been performed and no reaction has occurred, it will remain valid for 6 months unless there are changes to your health, product formula, or it has been more than 6 months since your last test.

Exceptions:

A skin test is not required for services that do not involve chemicals or hair colouring products.
