We begin with an in-depth consultation to assess your current hair and talk through your desired look. Sometimes, we’ll carry out a strand test to assess the condition of your hair and predict the final result, making sure you’re confident every step of the way. 

Application 

Our expert colourists use the latest techniques to apply your chosen colour for a bespoke finish. Whether it’s highlights, balayage, or a full head colour, we personalise each application to suit your unique style and hair type. 

Toning and gloss 

Once your colour’s applied, we don’t stop there. We finish with a toner or gloss to enhance the colour, adding shine and neutralising any unwanted tones. 

 

Styling and aftercare 

Once your colour is perfected, we’ll cut and style your hair to your liking. Plus, we’ll provide expert aftercare advice to make sure your colour stays vibrant for as long as possible. We’ll also guide you on the best products and treatments to keep your hair healthy and glowing, as well as give you a few top tips on styling your hair at home! 

Full head hair colour 

If you’re thinking about a fresh new look or you’d like to cover up some greys, full head colour is a brilliant option. It gives you a rich, even colour all over that’s deep and glossy. Whether you’re looking to hide those greys or just brighten things up, full head colour is perfect for that.  

Full head bleaching and toners 

For those dreaming of all-over blonde brilliance, a full head bleach is the ultimate transformation. Full head bleaching involves lightening your hair from root to tip using high-quality bleach. Because it removes natural pigments, we follow up with a toner to refine your shade and banish any brassiness. 

 

What hair colour products do we use? 

At Pelo Hair, we only use the best products for our colour services, which is why we trust Davines. For vibrant, long-lasting colour, we rely on Davines Mask with Vibrachrom™, an advanced system that provides superior grey coverage, stunning shine, and radiant results, whether light or dark. The formula stays vibrant for weeks without fading and is enriched with natural ingredients like quinoa protein, which leaves the hair healthy and oh so silky! As a B Corp brand, Davines is cruelty-free and sustainable.  

For a softer, glossy look without the long-term commitment, we also use Davines View, a demi-permanent, ammonia-free colour that enhances your natural shade. This gentle formula adds depth and shine, fades over 6 to 8 weeks (depending on hair type and care), and keeps hair soft and healthy, all without harsh regrowth lines.  

 

Why do we recommend using K18 or Olaplaex with every colour service?

We don’t just want you to get the colour you love, we also want to make sure your hair stays strong, healthy and vibrant. That’s why we recommend adding on a K18 or Olaplex treatment to your colour appointment. These treatments work to protect and repair hair during and after your colour service.

What are these treatments?

Olaplex: helps to repair broken disulphide bonds in your hair, which can be damaged by chemical treatments, heat, and everyday wear. It strengthens your hair, prevents breakage, and helps maintain the integrity of your colour.

K18: works on a deeper level, restoring keratin chains in the hair structure. It repairs damage at the molecular level, leaving hair stronger, softer, and more resilient. Plus, it only takes 4 minutes to work!

Colouring can sometimes leave hair feeling weak, so these treatments help rebuild its strength from the inside out and prevent damage before it happens. Healthier hair also means better colour absorption too, so you’ll get that gorgeous colour you love for even longer.

How do I maintain my blonde hair?

Blonde hair, while gorgeous, needs regular maintenance. A toner refresh between appointments can keep your blonde looking bright and flawless. 

Why your blonde needs regular touch-ups: 

  • Toner washes out over time, leaving your hair yellow or brassy. 
  • Hard water and styling can change your tone. 
  • Bleached hair absorbs and loses colour quickly, so upkeep is essential. 

What you can do: 

  • A quick toner appointment will bring your blonde back to life. 
  • Keep your colour looking fresh by using salon grade products. 
  • Avoid harsh purple shampoos as some supermarket shampoos can be too strong, leaving your hair dry or patchy in colour.
How can I make my hair colour last as long as possible?

Keeping your colour looking fresh is all about using the right products and giving your hair the TLC it deserves. Here’s how to keep that vibrant shade intact: 

  • Use Davines sulphate-free shampoo. Sulphates can strip your hair of its colour, so opt for a sulphate-free shampoo to preserve vibrancy. 
  • To keep your desired tone, booking in for toner refreshes is a must. 
  • Before styling, always use a Davines heat protectant product to shield your hair from damage. 
  • Regular deep conditioning keeps your hair shiny and healthy, preventing it from looking dull. 
  • Book a K18 or Olaplex treatment.

Do you offer evening appointments?

Yes, we do. We are open until 6pm on Wednesdays and Fridays, and until 8pm on Tuesdays and Thursdays

Am I required to have a patch test for a colour service?

Yes, all new clients must have a patch test at least 48 hours before their colour appointment. We cannot proceed with any colour services without an in-date patch test applied by one of our team.

Is there parking available?

Yes, there is plenty of FREE parking in our car park. Just make sure to give your car registration to a member of staff so you can park for longer than an hour.

What products do you retail?
We retail Davines products to help you maintain your hair between appointments and prolong the results of your salon service. Our team is highly knowledgeable about these products and can provide tailored advice.
How do I book an appointment?

What bond builders do you offer?
We offer K18 and Olaplex as in-salon treatments.
Do I need an appointment?

While appointments are not always necessary, we highly recommend booking to avoid disappointment.

Do you have a curly hair specialist?
Yes, Bethany is our curly hair specialist. We are also planning to further educate all of our stylists in advanced curly hair cutting techniques.
Do you offer gents and children’s cuts?
Yes, we offer both. Please note that children’s cuts start from age 8.
Do I need to arrive with clean hair for my colour appointment?
Yes, please arrive with freshly washed hair. Clean hair helps the colour penetrate the hair shaft more effectively.
What is your pricing?
Pricing varies depending on the service and the stylist’s experience. Feel free to contact us for more details.
Do you require a deposit?
Yes, we require a 50% deposit for all new clients and for clients who haven’t visited us in over 6 months.
Do you offer complimentary consultations?

Yes, we require a complimentary 15 minute consultation for all new colour service clients. This allows us to assess your hair, discuss your desired result, and offer any necessary advice.

Do you have a cancellation policy?
Yes, we require 48 hours’ notice to make any changes to your appointment without incurring a charge or losing your deposit. Changes made with less than 48 hours’ notice will result in a 50% fee, and under 24 hours or no-shows will incur a 100% fee. If you need to make changes, please call or WhatsApp the salon—please do not email or send messages via social media.
